As this is a postmodern blog I’ll be able to get away with using today’s digital technology and talk about myself in the third person. Cheers! Life on shore-leave was better than this but I can’t drink liked I used to.

I think that they call it “exchange” when a text like Mad Men has the unintended consequences of the blog I am writing today. It’s all possible through Web 2.0, so even poor saps like me get to pour my thoughts into the ether of today’s world. Did I say “pour”? Got to get my mind off the demon drink! Yes, as I was saying, through the wonders of the postmodern age I’ve managed to transport myself out of the modernism of the early 1960s. And, I’m beginning to think I’ve made a bad mistake. Geez, it’s hard for guys like me to change. Yes, change. What’s with this new-fangled political correctness? Can’t I say what’s on my mind anymore? Why should I watch my mouth, and hands, around secretaries? That’s what God made them for – for ogling, glad-handing and . . . Do I need to say more?
